“I’m Garvey Chui, founder of The Verb Group theverbgroup.com, advocate for social impact, and a believer in the power of intentional action. The projects that have brought the most energy to me are ones where we combine the expertise, systems, and resources of large corporations while focusing on sustainable impact for the stakeholders involved. When it’s a win-win for everyone, you can THINK BIG, and IMPACT BROADER…and that will also be marketable and profitable.
My journey has taken me from Wall Street boardrooms to farms in Taiwan, to building sanitation facilities and biogas digester in Ethiopia. My joy comes from stepping upon my corporate foundation, while leaning into community-based creativity and innovation. My successes are guided by a commitment to leave the world better than I found it, and I would love to join forces to expand our work together!

As a coach, she partners with executives, entrepreneurs, and teams to define their vision, set actionable goals, and navigate transitions. As a consultant, she designs strategies for leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and organizational change that are practical, impactful, and measurable.
Garvey is also a recognized advocate for social impact. As an impact investor and advisor, she supports organizations and technologies aimed at improving education, sanitation, and economic opportunities for underserved communities. Her contributions have earned her recognition as a ‘Champion for Diversity’ by the United Nations Association of Canada and one of Hong Kong’s “Women of Hope” by the South China Morning Post. A seasoned speaker and panelist, she has spoken on topics such as “Importance of Girls” and “Rallying the Tribe” at the World Toilet Summit in Surakarta, Indonesia, and “Education in a Global Age: Access, Equity and Excellence” at the UN General Assembly in New York, USA.

She is the driving force behind The Verb Group, a global coaching and consulting practice grounded in the belief that intentional action defines meaningful impact. With over two decades of experience across startups, SMEs, and Fortune 500 companies, Garvey blends cultural intelligence, neuroscience, and strategic partnerships to help leaders and organizations navigate growth, gain control during transitions, and affect meaningful change.
Garvey’s journey to founding The Verb Group in 2014 began with a pivotal realization: success isn’t about titles or salaries—it’s about clarity, courage, and purpose. After a successful corporate career, she left behind traditional metrics of achievement and became a “digital nomad” to examine and pursue unconventional routes to success that mattered to her. This journey included an intentional 5 year sabbatical – never less than three months (to build community and structure), but no more than a year (to stay nimble and open to change) – where she moved around different cities across the globe to expand her perspectives and be exposed to the complexity and simplicity of the human experience.
The Verb Group reflects her commitment to intentional reflection, focus, and results—because clarity fuels action, and action drives change.
